Peter...In a NATIONAL disaster I HOPE that I won't have to depend on my local mayor and the State's Governor to save my ASS along with my Family's!! I think the DESTRUCTION of New Orleans qualifies as a National Disaster. John McCain himself has said that the National Government's response to Katrina was horrendous and it wouldn't have happened like that under HIS watch. The latest QUAKES in the Midwest have shown how VULNERABLE we ALL are to devastating destruction and I'd hate to think that I couldn't count on the President of the United States if anything SO horrible were to happen in my area because the guy was TOO oblivious (they had to show Bush DVD's of the news) or too WEAK to take charge of things DESPITE whatever issues he had with the go# Dam#$ Governor.
