Wright's appearance on Bill Moyers show was quite good. Well, at least the first half. I haven't seen the second yet but my guess it was the same tone. I disagree with some of his observations but they are simply disagreements.

The CNN bit last night which was before the NAACP was interesting. I like that but I can imagine you might not. I liked it for political reasons and for stylistic reasons. Someone called it feisty. He's clearly a character. And, in general, I like characters.

As for the press club thing this morning, I thought the talk was ok, but the question and answer period was not. Don't know how that happened.

But this is all about Wright. I can agree disagree both with the content and the style without making judgments about Obama.

It would be unusual to find anyone that much in the public eye who wasn't a bit of a narcissist. I would think almost all good ministers/reverends/imams/rabis are.

Rambi,

I agree with what you say. Maybe he was feeding off the crowd that was there since there seemed to be a lot of positive reinforcement for the way he was responding to the questions. No matter what, Obama's campaign has got to be waiting to see what the fallout from this performance will be. People/voters might not pay attention to the way that Obama has tried to distance himself from this guy.

I have to wonder if one of the reasons that Obama stayed in this church was for the political benefit with the African American community in Chicago/Illinois(since he doesn't appear to share in the more controversial ideas that Wright seems tp represent). If that was/is the case, he might be paying the price for staying with the church as long as he has. I think it will make the Indiana primary a more interesting primary to see if Obama will pay a price for this. I also wonder if this will cause some fallout with some of the superdelegates.
