Help me. Is being 'liberal' a bad thing?
That connotation has been defined by Republicans I thiMk into a negative.
I don't even know how that translates.

If you ask me for more potatoes I'll prolly give you liberal amounts.
If you ask me for money I may be conservative.

I am tired of hearing that liberal is some how a bad thing. I don't even know how liberals got saddled with the reputation of spending and taxing to much. Since WW II, the evidence suggests otherwise. One thing I do know is that some of the most prosperous cities in this country are considered liberal and some of the poorest conservative. That in and of itself should tell us something.

“I think certainly what the last three days indicate is that we’re not coordinating with him, right?” Mr. Obama said. “He’s obviously free to speak his mind, but I just want to emphasize that this is my former pastor. Many of the statements that he has made both to trigger this initial controversy and that he’s made over the last several days are not statements that I’ve heard him make previously. They don’t represent my views and they don’t represent what this campaign is about.”
