i don't know what that guy is doing, but certainly he is NOT doing Obama any favors by this book tour. people on this board can rationalize all they want about Obama's association, but this is politics, not high minded academia. the fact of the matter is that anybody on the fence about Obama's electability because of his race is not going to be impressed with the Rev Wright. I don't really know anything about the Reverend, and i'm certainly willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but some of his antics, tone and rhetoric really left a bad taste in my mouth. and YES! your friends and the people you associate with are definitely a reflection of the person you are...it can't be helped, and on some level it will be considered.
