Since I haven't yet decided which way I am voting, I am still in the middle (I;m the one sitting on the floor, happily blocking the aisle). What I would hate is seeing this election take place based on the crap we're now seeing.

The problem is that it takes little analysis or ability to discuss and criticize things like associations. I hate it now, and I will hate it if it begins against McCain-- and it will if Hillary gets the nomination.

There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth from the left, you're right, given McCain's bellicosity. And it will be joined in the next few years by the right wingers own wails and gnashes because from all I read, they are holding their noses to vote for him.

>>Unfortunately for you it is going to work our quite differently. Obama will get the nomination because to do anything else would not be percieved as "fair" by Democratic voters and politicians.

Then come November he will lose to John McCain and there will be much Wailing and Gnashing from your side of the aisle.<<

Brian -

The fun thing about predictions like that is that they can be checked against actual events.

I personally believe that either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama can beat John McCain with one hand tied behind their backs. McCain has that foul-smelling albatross (Iraq) around his neck, and doesn't represent the change that the majority of Americans are looking for.

But we'll see, won't we?
