The truth is that a President can't do much unless he thinks he can. Congress could have more power, the House could have more power. But the big news Monday was on Bloomberg about the value of Obama's database, probably worth $200 million. That is the leverage that will make President Obama more than just a President with hope. He will help the DSCC and the DHCC so that over 2-4 years, maybe longer, he will be the leader of the Party. When Dean wants his hands on (or access to) the list, Obama has the inside track to the SDs.
