Scalia is a NYer. He may have been born in NJ, but he is from Elmhurst, NY.

John McCain was born in Panama. In your mind, is he a Panamanian?

Did it ever occur to you that the justices expressed what they believed was correct?

You say you followed the case closely. Where did their decisions deviate from what they would have decided had it been about an issue in Montana? If you noticed a bias, you must have noticed where the bias affected their decision.

I, for the life of me, cannot figure out why either or any of the justices would give a squirt of warm piss, so to speak, over such a dispute.

I do think it would be interesting for the Supreme Court to rule on Liberty Island. Originally part of New Jersey. I don't even know if they have, but don't recall it.
