The bottom line is that it seems like the Feds are looking for new, creative ways to print money without having to just flat out lower interest rates (plunge protection team, Bear Stearns deal, tax checks, and now this). That way they can put on a strong dollar face while at the same time shoveling free money out of back dollar.

Right now their plan seems to working great...dollar up and gold down. What I want to know is how long before gold figures out the game: weeks, months, or years and what happens to the stock market if they stop lowering rates? Can they keep it propped up?
