If the public sees Wright as a loud-mouth patriot pastor, it's a net positive. Wright sees himself as the one who built the TUCC from 87 members to 8,000. The members see the community of church members and what the church does. The church is still a positive force in that part of Chicago and in a broader area. And Wright is retiring. He's still OK to test his "reach" or "wings". I would be more concerned about someone wanting a secret favor than someone who told Barack a year ago that he would be asking for stuff on 11/5/2008 and speaks openly about that on 4/28/2008.
