Either we plan for it, or things get inexorably worse (if I'm a candidate, that's exactly what I'm saying).

i read the article you posted on a different thread (scientific american) on alternative energy, and agree that the most promising is the photovoltaic farms....but at 30K square miles in the desert SW...(i've read as high as 200k square miles)

am i being overly cynical to believe that the environmentalists will raise objections?? oh the irony<g>

i personally feel discouraged...there always seem to be competing interests that throw roadblocks in the way of real energy policy....

then again $10/gal. gasoline speaks quite loudly, drowning out the special interests...

btw, i'm also seeing considerably more motorcycles and scooters on the roads in this area
