You ask a good question. Sometimes it is worthwhile to move on or else you risk losing those that you have succeeded in bringing together. I have yet to see a situation where everybody agrees with everybody. So I do not expect Obama to bring everybody together. When Obama talks about unification, I understand that to mean that he is not going to look at the world with colored glasses so to label/stereotype situations. That is a good starting point. However. he is destined to encounter intense opposition from certain quarters to the extent that these folks will not only disagree with his approach but go further to squelch it. That is when he needs to put his foot down. The situation with Wright is the first one particularly when Rev. wright said that if he were to become President, he would go after Obama because "as President he would represent the policy of oppression of the US Govt." Rev. Wright holds a prejudice against the Presidency and with it a President Obama.
