Flouride is the great debate:

In the old days it was the John birch Society who felt putting flouride in the water was the work of the tri lateral commission trying to poison us.

I made up the part about the tri lateral commission-lol. But it was the right wing who didn't like it.

Recently, the debate in my town anyway, has been led by the liberals and the followers of alternative medicene. We just had a huge politicls fight and we now have no flouride in the water. I think this is a mistake.

My personal belief, and the belief of most scientists, is that in the right amounts flouridated water is very helpful at preventing cavitiies, strengthening bones and in geeneral is a good thing to do.

Admittedly in too large amounts flouride is bad. But so is vitamin A, selinium, iron, etc.
