I think we are past the point when these numbers are
trusted. Most certainly, the super-spikes in commodities
this past year indicate otherwise. History says massaging
inflation data always makes the eventual slide worse.
Besides, how can the Fed keep rates above inflation if
inflation numbers are cooked?
