We are going to need ANWAR oil later when supplies really get tight. Oil has many valuable uses, uses that no other material can easily do. Making plastics is one of those uses. Plastics have very unusual and very valuable properties. Burning oil (as gasoline) just to power inefficient oversized vehicles so some slob doesn't have to walk a block to get his beer is not one of those valuable uses. Bush is most definitely king of the morons. That's not a political statement. That is a statement about the man himself.
