US has done more than any other country to address the evils of slavery. I buy that but it has only happened from truman on. As for black folks, i think due to lack of slave status/legacy they may have done better in other countries than here. I think i read somewhere that a higher percentage of blacks attend college in GB than here. Not sure about that. But things are getting better with this new gen of ours. Interracial dating, marriages, children are becoming more and more accepted. Remember in our youth when offspring (little innocent babies) were called half breeds or mullatoes. I bet you used such terms in your past without even thinking about it. I know i did. Look at the progress that has been made in one generation. Its amazing.

You were claiming that "most alive today" had a net advantage in our culture. That isn't what I said. Here was my statement: Blacks who are 50 and younger have had tremendous advantages due to affirmative action, the Welfare State, and other freebies from the government. For that matter, the federal government has provided many, many blacks who were less qualified than white applicants solely because they were black. The advantages we (as a society) have given blacks 50 and younger are substantial. I don't know if they outweigh the injustices they were born into; however, these advantages definitely outweigh any injustices I, personally (as well as those of my generation and younger) have created for them.
