The unemployed polar bears will have to get a job as grizzly bears. Or perhaps they could evolve into a kind of whale. They should keep out of the way of ships roaring over the top of the world though. Evolution is tough and ecological niches are filled by the best adapted species. Polar ships seem well-adapted for that new ecological niche, like possums discovering New Zealand bred like crazy and took over. Mqurice
