I was interested in the comment about having no answer for someone with a history of health problems buying insurance on the open market. A couple of weeks ago I was chatting with someone in that situation on another thread. Of course, there would be a problem doing so from scratch. But, presumably, if the McCain plan had been effect for a while, he would already have had a policy in place before he got ill so buying it after the fact would be a non-issue. Hope we see more published about what was announced.
