You think I don't understand the facts or concepts, so you try to explain them. That's a misdirected attempt. I do understand the facts and concepts. Its possible that I'm missing the logic of the point (although I don't think this is the case), if I am, than repeating or further clarifying the facts won't help.

I know what nominal interest rates, and real interest rates are. I understand compounding. I understand the fact that over time a fixed interest rate debt with constant nominal payments will go down in real terms.

None of these ideas confuse me to the slightest extent.

But taking all that as given, doesn't seem to logically lead to the fed's conclusion for the reason's I've gone over twice now.
