The man served and nobody can ever take that away from him; what can absolutely be said is that he was a fine American when he served.

But something has changed. Today, he clearly is anti-American, and no amount of military service can make up for that.

It is the same with Timothy McVeigh. McVeigh was a Bronze Star recipient and received an honorable discharge. Only a couple of short years later, he got crazy. It happens.

Z, that's nothing new to me. Putting your faith in God should always be independent of putting your faith in a particular form of government.

None of that excuses any of Wright's conspiracy theories, such as the government inventing the AIDS virus, or 9/11 being an inside job, or even "God Damn America." Nowhere in the Bible is that type of behavior condoned; even Abraham prayed that Sodom and Gomorrah be spared.
