Despite all the loot Alaska rakes in from high oil prices, most of the state away from the main road system is facing a serious energy crisis. People are desperately trying to figure out how to reorganize their lives, because the cost of shipping fuel and goods to remote areas is going exponential. So sustainability is a really hot issue.
