Is this guy a pastor or a self promoting demagogue? Both. Not the only one in the pulpit by a long, long way. Wright seems to be especially vain and vindictive, at least in the recent appearances. But there are plenty of other peacock preachers out there on the airwaves. MSNBC just had another journalist on from Chicago who went to the church many times and never saw this from him either. Maybe he had a recent crackup or something. The sooner it's out of the headlines, the sooner we can talk about stuff that matters like energy policy, right? ;<)

To answer your question, I'd say that Wright is a (former) pastor and a self promoting demagogue. He is certainly not the only man of the cloth who fits both descriptions. - Allen
