i-node, I just saw McCain's TV add on health care. He wants to focus on affordability to increase the number of people who have access to healthcare. His solution is to give every family at $5,000 health care tax credit. Sounds like big government to me. More spending without any thoughts as to how to pay for it. The only saving grace is leaving the choices up to us. Obama's plan on the other hand is to use the government's collective bargaining power to negotiate better deals on prescription drugs in order to bring the costs down. He does not mandate that you get coverage, but he wants to provide a plan for those who do not have coverage available through their employers, so they can get coverage outside of their employment. This sounds alot like BlueCross BlueShield to me. What do you think? Who has the better plan? As to me, I couldn't care less about health care as an issue. Mostly, I care about energy independence. However, it seems that everyone is claiming Obama is liberal on health care, so I thought I'd point to some facts. McCain is a liberal on health care too. What happened to let the market decide?
