I'm not sure that's a fair representation of our exchange, but I'm too lazy, and don't really care enough, to look it up.

And I wasn't saying that you had accused Wright of being a racist and a hate monger. Just that the "defense" of Wright on this thread was more directed at those kinds of characterizations.

Just noting that then the thread was generally playing the apologist role.

Can't speak for others but your comments that Wright was pretty radical when you had in mind liberation theology and we should have looked askance, I happen to be something of an admirer of liberation theology. I'm no longer a part of a church but I think a defense of it as both socially important and religiously grounded is not hard to make.
