Because it echos a persistent theme in how Obama tries to defect this kind of criticism.

Yes, there is a persistent theme of Obama referring to his own words and actions as a measure of himself as a politician, rather than tangential linkages to others.

That used to be called accountability. Now that term means responsibility for everything ever said or done by someone else.

I already said once today that Obama has an enormous public record for us to pore over, if we like.

Could someone get this “anybody who knows me” to tell us all one need to know about Mr. Obama in a non-piecemeal and spinned fashion.

Brian, I think others have told you, there is a very easy way. The man has two books, one clearly written when his political ambitions were dormant; he's got a track record as a community organizer, as an Illinois state senator, and as a US senator. Plenty of grist for plenty of mills.

If you are interested.

Brian -

I don't know what you find so interesting about that comment. It strikes me as perfectly inane.

I challenge anyone to tell us all one (would) need to know about any politician in a non-piecemeal and spinned (sic) fashion.

This notion that Obama is some sort of cipher is just silly.

I'm impressed you could wring any meaning out of this syntactic linguine, echoed theme or not.
