One advantage of leaving grad school and working for myself is not having to function as anyone's research assistant any longer. It shouldn't be hard to Google voluminous information on Obama's bio, year by year if you like. I'm not one of the folks who believes that experience is the key to the presidency. We have had some presidents with dubious to minimal qualifications at the start, who did pretty well once in office. Obama would be one more of those if he were elected. Having grown up in Texas I know what a nothing job the governorship there is, for example. And it must be a powerhouse compared to Arkansas. Yet the last 16 years in the White House were filled by those two, both reelected.
