Black rhetoric needs to be judged in the black rhetorical tradition I interpret that as an apologist stance. Did then; do now. There was a lot of that particular defense. No one supported Wright's views re:9/11 and AIDS There was a pile of objection to assessing them as unreasonable. I remember that because I was the assessor. I'm not criticizing anyone for shifting gears. I admire the willingness and ability to reassess.
