He had to call a press conference because other people have made this an issue. Why his retired preacher is such a huge issue I don't know. From what he has said about the man, he took away pretty positive stuff from him- and there was positive stuff to take. The coverage though has made him out to be some sort of scary demon black preacher- which he isn't. So excuse me if I don't take the made up issue all that seriously personally. That's not to say the country can't unfairly tar Obama for this- they can. I just don't think it's very important, myself.
