Unfortunate- but rather than putting some of the racial hatred to bed, attacking this old man is going to play really badly in the black community- which is (presumably) the opposite of what most people want- or at least profess to want. I would agree with this if Wright hadn't attacked Obama as he did on Monday. I think that gave Obama permission to "divorce" himself from Wright.

Wright isn't that old! You are making him sound like this decrepit, weak, sad figure limping off into the sunset. He's only 66 and he's still going strong. There's nothing pitiful about this guy. Did you watch the Q and A yesterday? He was a performer and he was loving the spotlight. He was very ready for primetime! He is willing to sacrifice the very thing he should be thrilled to help accomplish- the election of a black man to the presidency. And his ego wouldn't let him do what was needed-- (which WAS to go gentle into that good night.)
