I understand it perfectly. I think YOU don't understand negotiation. Prozac IS generic now Ten. Everyone should be encouraged to take generics, unless there's a newer drug that is MUCH more effective, which usually isn't the case. The Pharma companies tweak old drugs, call them new or change the formulation to sell them under patent. Savings can be had even on generics. WalMart sells 300 generics for $4 for 30. Does your wife work there yet? THEY negotiate prices with ALL their suppliers.
