Don't you think that statistic is lower for a variety of cultural reasons that don't apply to Rev Wright, given his middle class upbringing?

McCain is 72- and the average age for white men is what? 75? The average age of SC justices is 68.
Billy Graham preached his farewell sermon last year at 80.

I don't know whether his brain is going. It doesn't sound like it. I just don't see him as the sympathetic figure you are drawing.

Interesting. That's an improvement. A black colleague who was maybe ten years older than me used to complain that SS was racist because blacks don't live long enough to collect it. I don't recall what the exact life span was then but it was less that the minimum age for collecting SS. I couldn't help sympathizing with his position. Good to hear it's improved.
