obamas dad was kenyan but you make a good point. He is half african and half american in origin with a sociological touch of asia thrown in for good measure.. BUT there was a point in his life when he came to realzie that in american he was viewed as black or african-american. So he embraced that with all its flaws. I kind of liked what he said today and the way he said it.
