<<<I do agree that Obama is no different the HC in that they are both politicians but I think he is plenty good. You don't get to be where Obama is today without being good, especially since he was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He has run a marvelous campaign up to this point in time.>>>

I agree with you to this extent. Obama is fresh and exciting. He is potentially as good as, and possibly better than, people say he is. But why rush things.

Let me give you an analogy from the sports world. I am a fanatic as far as being a fan of baseball.

Hank Steinbrenner just took over the bosses job from his father at the New York Yankees. He has decided to change policies. The New York Yankees has been successful under his father, George Steinbrenner, by paying top dollar to veteran players. Examples are plenty. There is Roger Clemens, Randy Johnson, Jason Giambi, Alex Rodriques and a lot of other high priced talent that have not worked out that well.

Hank is on a home grown youth movement. Phil Hughes and Ian Kennedy are examples that I would like to use. These are very talented young ballplayers. They have been brought up to the big leagues prematurely. They are failing. They may become damaged goods. They are damaged by failure. They were brought up too early. There are reasons why baseball develop players in the way they do. I takes more than 1 or 2 years of major league experience. This is true for baseball players as well as anything in life. You can't rush the process.

The same example applies to every aspect of human development. People have to go through a maturation process. You can't cut it short.

Obama is a great natural resource. He has immense potential. He is young and his best days are ahead of him. Why rush that process? Most of this rushing, imo, comes from the immediate gratification and self absorbed types. These people are projecting there own hopes and dreams and think that Obama is their vehicle to make theses wishes come true.

If they are sincere about the greater good of our country, they should proceed with caution. Make sure that Obama gets fully vetted. Make sure that he acquires all the skills needed to be the leader of our country and the leader of the free world.

There is no reason to rush this process.
