we're still equal in every way that matters.

Every individual is different ... and that's how people can make fun out of it

cb Ilaine claims that two things, materially different in many respects, are equal.

I observe that these two things, by virtue of being materially different in many respects, are not equal.

She claims that such a definition of "equal" is goofy?

Presumably she is taking a definitional approach to being correct, e.g. removing from the definition of "equal" all those things which might be different, thereby rendering the remainder equal by reduction.

By such a definition, one could assert all animals are equal to all other animals, be definitionally "correct" but contextually devoid of meaning. And that's intelligent?

Hopefully you won't hold our differences against me.... oh wait... we don't have any, by definition,... therefore you agree with me...so I win!
