was opening its newest factory in the former East Germany — 540 high-paying engineering jobs

Can anyone tell me why a factory would employ so many engineers? I would not expect more than a handful.

Sam;

n 1997, said Resch, America was the leader in solar energy technology, with 40 percent of global of global solar production. “Last year, we were less than 8 percent, and even most of that was manufacturing for overseas markets.”

That is absurd and repulsive.

Wish I had said that. I would have added a bunch of exclamation marks here if allowed as they are surely deserving. Gosh this country has missed the boat. We are about to do it in biotech too.
