that is odd, i guess by your logic my culture is from my mom and mom only, and is not comprised of any part of my dad's especially given that he was born and raised in trinidad/tobago, speaks no chinese, schooled in london and then moscow, and traveled the world starting young?

cb, China nowadays is a mix melting pot of ethnicity. Especially in hk, shanghai, northern and coastal region, some look euro and asian mix. Some Taiwanese look Dutch and Chinese combined. Macau has many Portugese Chinese mix. They all identify themselves as Chinese.
