Folks like you and inode have made up your mind and your mind is like a steel trap--- Anyone who hasn't made up his mind about the war by now needs to have his head examined. The issues aren't middle of the road. Either you believe the fight is to make us safer or you don't. I can understand both views, but I think those who conclude we are not made safer by the war are looking at it in a shallow manner. There is the argument that the war has been an effective recruiting tool, and therefore has made us less safe, and there may be a bit of truth in it. OTOH, we have moved the focus of AQ to Iraq, undoubtedly -- and it is better to have it there than here. And ultimately, if we are successful in creating a democracy in Iraq, it will be a huge defeat for AQ. At the same time, it will give all ME'ers a glimpse of what their lives can be under democracy. The basic problem faced by the Left is the knee-jerk reaction to be against ALL wars, and sometimes, war is the best way to solve a problem -- particularly, when the alternative is to continue with a dictator who is testing the patience of the West, killing thousands of his own people monthly, and there is no end in sight.

Boy, you are as dumb as chris. Deep inside beats the heart of an american who is conflicted by the battle against terrorism and the rights that differentiates our country from most others. Folks like you and inode have made up your mind and your mind is like a steel trap----no growth for the likes of you, chrissy, inode and the rest of you closed minded fascists. Look......in the last 8 years I've watched our rights reduced and terrorism increase thanks to people that didn't know what they are doing. I-node is a part of those people. I see them as very destructive and will do whatever I can to prevent them from destroying this counry. Sorry if that bothers you.
