What is amazing to me is that right now most of the folks outside the US are for Obama.

Why would that be "amazing"?

People in other countries have their own interests at heart, not those of the US. I'm sure the UN would love Obama, too, because the first thing he'll do is cede our sovereignty to the UN. Nothing surprising or amazing about that.

The whole world is watching and they very deeply want for the US to become the beacon of light to the rest of the world again.

This is a crock. The US is the "beacon of light" it always was. While some other countries may criticize us from afar, they know which side their bread is buttered on and when they are attacked or need help the first number the call is the White House.

If we can elect Obama, it will be a great start at showing the world that we are slow learners, but we DO learn. Bush's re-election threw that into grave doubt.

One thing is for sure. The whole world is watching and they very deeply want for the US to become the beacon of light to the rest of the world again. Everyone is waiting with baited breath for Bush to step aside. Clamoring for it is more like it.

Its the only thing that keeps my hope alive for this country. I knew when Bush won his rovian victory in 2000 that we were going down but I never thought we'd go down this far. Now we have to fight to get back before its too late.
