Neurons grow with stimulation. Intelligence can indeed be limited by environment and lack of stimulation. That's why when you are old, you need to continue learning, and doing crosswords, and keeping your brain alive. It really is use it or lose it, as far as brain cells are concerned. There've been a lot of studies on this. Education is a problem too- but you have to realize much education takes place in the home- that's why maternal education is a predictor of academic success.

And in Florida they have the highest high school drop out rate of any past years.. AND we have a relative who has dropped out. She are working at Moe's restaurant. Good luck. She is beautiful;practices something called GOTHIC... all black hair and doesn't know a thing. We see no future for her. She will probably end getting married and having children and the ignorance will perpetuate itself. I just loved working in a Jewish community most of my life as the emphasis was on EDUCATION,EDUCATION EDUCATE and the parents were willing to spend the money to get it. I worry about the future generation...
