My woodpecker disappeared for nearly a week, then showed up again yesterday. Interesting thing going on here, though. Two finches decided to take up residence in the small hole the pecker created in the wall. The hole now goes completely through the exterior panel and exposes insulation inside. The finches can get inside, but the hole isn't big enough for the woodpecker, but he's working on that.

Meanwhile, I've reported this to the HOA. I got email this morning telling me the woodpecker crew is working on some 60 problems within the complex of about 220 town homes. I tried to close up the hole yesterday with a piece of wood and duct tape, but its too high for my 6' step ladder to be any help.

My bb gun is at the ready, but doubt I'll get to crank off a shot.
