I sincerely appreciate it and don't mind being reminded myself, if needed.

It's nice to have a civil discussion, tho sometimes passionate, about issues that are important to all of us. I think we all want the same basic things for our country. We just differ on how that might best be achieved.

It's good to remind ourselves that we are all Americans with much at stake in this next election.

I have been a life long Democrat who does vote for a good Republican now and then ( vbg). And I also believe that balance should be obtained in our legislatures between the Dems and GOP. When I look back at the Clinton Presidency I have to admit that Bill looked weak during those first years when the Congress was also Democratic. Clinton strengthened and appeared to gain in popularity after the GOP regained control of Congress. Although it could also be argued that he changed his tactics after he lost Congress during the mid term elections.

Anyway..........gridlock isn't always a bad thing.
