Funny hearing you guys with your woodpecker wars. Buddy of mine had one he was waging war with. The thing was really raising hell with the siding on his house. Well we are over there doing the bbq thing and of course have had a few beers and this thing flies in and starts banging on the house. John shoos it away several times but about the 5th time John screams that is it you little SOB. In the house he goes and out he comes with the 12ga. Walks around the corner of the house and I said "John don't be shooting that thing on your house," and wham goes the 12ga. I walk around the corner and now John has about 12" diameter hole through into his attic and come to find later some shingles blown off because of the upward angle. I found it quite humorous but I dare say his wife went ballistic:)
