Today's NPR was addressing the military reluctance to classify the returning injured soldiers with PTSD... It costs too much to have them visit psychiatrists etc. AND on the other hand soldiers are reluctant to report their symptoms as on some form they fill out it is necessary to indicate whether they had seen a mental health person in the last 18 months. As an aside on this issue Gates is in the process of having this question removed from the form. Good for GATES.

The report was based on a military hospital in San Antonio TX.
There have also been a plethora of deaths due to the overdosing drugs prescribed by different attending physicians so that the right hand seems to not know what the left has prescribed.

We certainly are NOT taking care of our Veterans as we should be and the conditions at Walter Reed and now Ft. Bragg and hearing about how some injured Vets are being treated it is very disturbing.. and should be to us all.
