Allen, I went back and listened again to the entire Press conference & the Q&A session. I have to say he did not make the point. He had the opportunity to do so when one of the reporters asked him if an attack on Rev. Wright was an attack on the black church and he should have made the distinction then between the Trinity church & Wright's behavior. He's clearly rattled and off his stride. I think this is a great spot for Al Gore to step in and endorse Obama if Gore happens to be leaning that way. Now that would be cutting this Gordian knot ! I guess I should say Goredian !!
