There's a Canadian bank analyst -her name escapes me, did I mention I can't remember names-who has been pretty accurate. I'm putting a screened in porch up and the guys doing the framing have been doing basements through some division of Owens Corning. They were notified yesterday that the office was closing. Their complaint this winter was that they would have 6 jobs lined up one week, and then 5 would cancel. In one of my brokerage accounts (Roth IRA) I've had 10K cash for quite a while just sitting there. Feb they paid $10 interest, March $7, and this past month $4.25. (Scottrade). I've got CDs currently paying 5.25%, roughly, that if I were forced to roll over today would pay 3%. ING Direct. Anyway.... ARS
