"teetering on the brink...." That's what's wrong with the media.... metaphors all the time ! Plain Words would allow people to think more clearly. When they say "teetering on the brink" they mean we are not in a recession, although the economy has slowed.. the article says 2% growth next year... that's not a recession. I'm not a pollyanna , but I sure dislike all the gloom, that plain talk would dispel. I read today that a governor of the Bank of England (i think it was) said that the banking system credit losses would be only a half of what was first thought. So really who knows ? All I know is that life here in Canada is just great !
