Thing is I can't out muscle him like I tried when he first showed up. Gotta out think the big fukker. He starts getting wild, I let him wind down a bit and then get him to sit. Then I tell him we are going in for a cookie and he's my best friend.

I have a knack for training mean dogs. A guy my wife worked for knew a woman who had a lab she kept in a crate and wanted to get rid of. They brought it out here and put in our 8'x12' foot kennel. Dog was so wild and mean feeding was an adventure.

Then one night I opened the gate, took his food in and sat down next to it with my back to him. After he quit growling ol' Duke was my friend. We started taking walks and he quit tugging. Really nice dog who could have found a home.

Her boss came out and wanted to take Duke for a walk. I told him to keep the dog on the leash near the Interstate. He didn't and I buried Duke.
