Something doesn't smell right. I thought I read that the last auction for $25 billion had bids for $24 billion and went for .1% interest rate. If the banks need funds so badly why are they not clamoring for money at .1%? Any explanations?

I wonder why no one has sued the Fed to stop their illegal actions?

Best to all,

Mish, a friend of mine recently defined deflation to me pretty well.

Does a Saudi Prince give a crap about whether the price of his dinner goes from $100 to $120 or whether his $5 billion building in NYC is now worth $3.5 billion.

The latter being the case, bonds looks like a pretty good investment.

Now clearly I and the people on this board care more about whether our dinner goes to $120, but guess what...?

We don't count and our net worths are rounding errors compared to the Prince.

And that's why we're in DEFLATION.
