Never mentioned Palestinians in the context of ethnic cleansing - mentioned them in relation to “injustice and human suffering”.what about the jews, are they experiencing threat of cleansing within the neighborhood they call home? what of native americans? Your modus operandi seems to be to try to deflect people away from the topic at hand by frequently trying to turn the discussion to Iraq, american indians, american blacks or some other group/situation. Sorry, won’t work with me.as to tibet, should the folks who live there do a vote and have majority decide? Very unrealistic at this point, don’t you think?these are relatively simple questions, i think you should see. Actually no, these are very complex questions that have no easy solutions or answers. Its naive to think otherwise.answers? or you will do the shimmying that one would expect all shimmiers do? Actually it is you that has done the “shimmying” in our exchange of posts so far. In my prior post I offered up some information and comments in response to your previous rant and instead of addressing any of that in your response, all I get are more disjointed questions and another attempt to deflect the subject into other areas. so as a humanbeing, what do you suggest the solutions on all such issues should be? burn and loot, or carpet bombing, or the deaths of more kids? Wow! Asking me what the solutions are to all such issues throughout the world. Kind of a tall order, don’t you think? I certainly am not presumptuous enough to claim that I have all the answers and besides, there probably isn’t a person on earth who actually has the solutions to all such complex issues so I guess we’re all “shimmiers” in your opinion. How about you - do you claim to have the solutions to all these situations? Realistically, the answer can’t be yes, nobody has all the answers, so in all likelihood your answer is no which means, by your own logic, that you’re a “shimmier” as well. Welcome to the group! It would certainly be nice to have solutions that avoid burning, looting, carpet bombing, the death of more kids, torture, occupying armies and forcing culture down the throats of people at the point of a bayonet. It would be nice to have solutions that better take into account a people’s wants, needs & well-being, their culture and heritage and their desire for some degree of self-determination. But unfortunately, given the human race’s history and the current state of world affairs, ethnic rivalries, race relations, greed, corruption ...etc it looks like more of the same old, same old is in store for the foreseeable future. However it would be wrong to give up hope and give up trying to alleviate human suffering, even if its only to a small degree.any clever ideas that can possibly lead to anything that would not make a good and wise humanbeing sick to the stomach? What makes good and wise human beings sick to their stomach are the many examples of human misery and injustices throughout the world including such things such as the ethnic cleansing going on in Tibet. No “clever” ideas either you or I throw out on this board are enough to make people sick to their stomachs. mr tom daly world improver? mr. jay chen, shimmier.
