For sure a currency crisis is the end game to all this. Volatility in both directions on the dollar and an acceleration of the debasement of the purchasing power in what all currencies buy is a certainty..

Will Mish ever admit he was wrong in expecting deflation to come out of the housing/credit bust? It hasn't been worth debating him in over a year. The future seems even more crystal clear today<g>

i wrote a few weeks ago that i read an article of an economist measuring our inflation simply using the pre-Reagan formula for inflation we were then at 8.5% annualized(it would have been for beginning of this year).
And since Reagan they have taken further steps to hide the real inflation from the people.
The initial motive was to screw people on Social Security.
