The funny thing is that 99% of the country has no clue any of this is happening, and cares even less. But it's a fun game for the inside-baseball crowd. The bottom line with Fox is that tens of millions of household can access the channel in their basic cable package and they don't. That's the verdict of the marketplace, like all the cable news programs except when something is burning down. Any conventional network program with the same ratings as cable news would be canceled in a couple of weeks.
